Month 3

With the start of this month my third month playing poker and backgammon have begun. I can see the improvement, it's dramatic. I'm gonna keep at it and hopefully just keep getting better.

I've been reading a lot of info, written by players, for advise... like schooling. I always play online with mute on... I can't tolerate the constant drival. Unfortunately I know this means I've also missed some really good stuff. Perhaps in Irongirl's event this weekend I'll listen in.

Seems I made it to 60th on the blogger leader board based on last week's event. I finished 12th... my 88 (and very short stacked)loosing to a 9 on the river (the dude had 92 unsuited...ugh!) but it was very cool to get that far. ('Course I say this now... I was hootin' and hollerin' that weekend I tell ya. ;) )

I'm playing in real time tomorrow night and I'm stoked! The man of the married couple hosting this event is a seasoned player and someone I like very much. I can't wait to just watch and learn! Maybe I'll even ask him to come with me to my first casino tourney.
